Milk is delivered to the village by two dairies:
Dairy Crest, Bury St. Edmunds Depot, Tel: 01284 754720 and
Plumbs Dairy, Balsham, Tel: 01223 893033


Newspapers can be ordered for collection in the shop at the Ellesmere Centre. Please enquire in the shop for details.


The dustbin bags (black sack waste) and recycling (recycling box and brown sacks) are collected on Thursday mornings. Black sack waste is collected weekly, recycling and brown sacks are collected fortnightly on the same day .Please see the Welcome page or the Parish News Letter for up-to-date recycling dates. Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, white envelopes, white paper, catalogues, brochures and telephone directories go into the recycling box. Glass and cans go into separate bags in the black box. Plastic bottles without lids go into the clear bag provided. Food waste, garden waste, cardboard, shredded and brown envelopes go into the paper sacks.

Plastic bottles (with number 1, 2 or 3 in the triangle on the bottom) can be recycled at the Ellesmere Centre.

Jo Jingles preschool music club is held in the Ellesmere Centre on Wednesday mornings from 9.45 - 11.15

Jolly Tots, a Parent/Grandparent, Mother and Toddler group meets on Thursday mornings in the Ellesmere from 10 - 11.30.

There is a well-stocked shop and post office in the Ellesmere Centre on weekday mornings. The shop sells a range of fresh vegetables, bread and milk as well as tinned goods etc. The post office stocks stationery and birthday cards. Newspapers can be ordered for collection from the shop.

There are supermarkets in Newmarket (Waitrose and Tesco)
